The Lab: Hide-and-Seek with Giant Cucumbers

For those of you who remember when we built our Waffle Garden in the Spring, it's now in full swing! We planted each square bio-intensively to more efficiently use water and provide soil cover during our hot, dry summer. The resulting jungle of foliage means that sometimes you move a leaf aside and say, “Holy moly! How could I have missed seeing that giant cucumber?”
