The Lab: Big Red, Meet Little Red

There’s no question that Big Red is our favorite hen. While the bantams run around like the sky is falling, Big Red is always happy to be picked up and transferred to where she’s needed most. Sometimes that’s in the garden to eat bugs and sometimes we just carry her around for moral support.
So, when it came to picking our next generation of hens, we of course opted for eight peeping Rhode Island Reds. Now a month and a half later (and after a few tentative play dates), the young ladies have moved into the main coop. Big Red, are you ready for all those Little Reds?
She doesn’t seem so sure...
